Happy Fool’s Day everyone! April is really NOT my favorite month, one of my least favorites really. As you all know (well most of you probably :D ) my name IS April, and everyone thinks it’s hilarious during the month of April. It was a lot “worse” when I was a child, but even now I know a lot of people who run down the list of months acting like they’ve forgotten my name: “May? June? July?…” sort of thing. The worst thing about April is hearing my name EVERYWHERE and thinking people are talking to me or about me, haha! OK, enough rambling and onto the BOOKS! Which are no joke :D (har har har)

Totally excited for these two books this week! Team Human is a book I’ve been drooling over ever since I first spotted it on Amazon. So excited to have it in my hot little hands! It’s been quite awhile since I’ve read a parody and I do really love them – especially when they’re done well. I’ve been stalking the author’s blogs – both very funny and well written so I can only imagine what sort of amazingtasticness is in Team Human! Thanks HarperTeen!

Team Human by Justine Larbalestier & Sarah Rees Brennan

When a vampire shows up at Mel’s high school, it’s up to Mel to keep her best friend from falling in love with him. Add a mysterious disappearance, a cranky vampire cop, a number of unlikely romantic entanglements, and the occasional zombie, and soon Mel is hip-deep in an adventure that is equal parts hilarious and poignant.

The Forsaken was sent to me by the author – Bex thought it looked like my type of book and she was right! Totally looks awesome and can’t wait to dig in!

He knows he’s seen this method of murder before, but he never caught the killer.

Could this be a copycat, or is it the one that got away?

Forced to take on a new partner for the case, Jude must come to terms with the fractured memories of his past, attempt to keep his younger brother safe, and chase down a ghost killer who is collecting human souls. But time is against him. How many more victims will there be before the killer is satisfied?
