Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice!
Thank you
I’ve always liked reading non-fiction ghost stories and a book about the Amityville House left me scared.
Most definitely A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. *shudders*
Such an impossibly hard question! I love all of Dan Wells’ horror works, but I can’t say for certain that any one of them has creeped me out the most.
In fact, if I had to answer a book that’s left me feeling the most creeped out, it probably wouldn’t be a horror novel at all. It would almost definitely be “BZRK” by Michael Grant. Just…the horrors of nanotechnology and also the discovery (for me) of the existence of demodex. *shudders*
Thanks for such a lovely giveaway!
Stephen King… It
Lancer by Anne Rice. Not traditionally creepy but in other ways it totally was.
I haven’t read a book in ages that truly scared me, but one that I remember giving me the creeps was R.L. Stine’s Say Cheese and Die. Looking back, I have no idea what I found so scary about it, but when I was eight it scared me silly. =)
Thanks for the great giveaway.
House of Leaves.
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. That book seriously creeped me out! (I read that years ago and actually forgot about it until I saw the commenter above mention Lasher.) A more recent creepy story I read was Monstrous Beauty by Elizabeth Fama.
Anna Dressed in Blood was pretty creepy! So were Tamara Thorne’s books!
I haven’t actually read it, but I read some reviews of it: Unwind by Neal Shusterman. Definitely not on my to-read list, although I’ve heard it’s a great read for people who like that genre (horror/thriller.)
Lolita. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great book but it’s still creepy
Thanks for the giveaway!
The creepiest book I’ve ever read that still gives me the creeps today is It by Stephen King!
I read The Babysitter by R.L. Stine when I was a kid and it creeped me out.

IT by Stephen King
The Darkening Dream
Pet Semetery… it doesn’t get creepier than that.
A few years ago I read a book of short stories called All Hallows’ Eve: 13 Stories by Vivian Vande Velde. That book definitely creeped me out.
The Shining by Stephen King. In a creepy house, by myself, in a rainstorm. Shudders.
The Devouring by Simon Holt.
Bag of Bones Stephen King
The scariest book for me is And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie >,< I read it first when I was just a junior high school kid and it's definitely gave me the creeps!
Bag of Bones by Stephen King

Carrie by Stephen King. I read it when I was in high school and I had nightmares for weeks.
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. That’s the first creepy book that I’ve read and probably will be the last one. Now, I can’t fall asleep easily because the face of Anna will be forever ingrained on my mind. *shudder*

. And that scene in Hunger, with those flesh eating worms :/
It by Stephen King
Let me in by John Ajvide Lindqvist o.o
I don’t like creepy or scary stories so I avoid them. However, when I was younger and books were harder to come by, I’d read just about anything I could get my hands on. I read Stephen King’s Night Shift which is a book of short stories. That was plenty for me to know that kind of story wasn’t for me!
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake.
The last sacriest book I`ve read is Misery by Stephen King. Just crazy/insane/lost-your-mind and bloody story!
I meant – scariest, lol

thanks for a great giveaway! I’d say anything by Dean Koontz
I haven’t read a lot that REALLY scared me, but I did really like The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle!
I can’t remember the last time i read a creepy book, it’s not exactly my taste but I remember freaking out for Lupe!
Over the years I’ve read a lot of books, and a lot of them were really creepy. However, let me be more specific, because in my mind, the true test of creepiness is: did it give me nightmares? Only three books have given me nightmares – the first was “Dracula” – a classic, and a very creepy book. The second was “The Dracula Dossier” by James Reese and the third might surprise you, as it’s a space opera, but it was “Nexus: Ascension” by Robert Boyczuk and I was totally creeped out by the story on that one – the suspended animation, the booths they had to lay in, SOMETHING crept into my dreams and gave me nightmares – freaky! So, these are some contenders for top, creepiest books, based on the fact that they all gave me nightmares. Which was the creepiest? *shrug* For me, “Dracula” will always be the king
I’ve read a ton of creepy or scary books, they are my fave, but the one that stands out today is One Scream Away by Kate Brady. Yeah, very creep/scary stuff!
Rosemary’s Baby is definitely the creepiest book I’ve ever read. The movie is a good adaptation but there is something in the the reading that is super creepy
The creepiest book I read was Velocity by Dean Koontz…. I had to sleep with the lights on for the next few days…. and trust me, my husband wasn’t very happy about it!
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
Dracula, the first time I read it (the ending is decidedly tame, compared to modern creepy fiction.)
World War Z…really scary!
The creepiest book I’ve ever read was Dracula by Bram Stoker. Wow. Still creepy after all these years!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z Brite…Come on if Cannibalism and necrophilia dont do it I dont know what would!
I actually haven’t read many creepy books, but the Empty Coffin series by Gregg Olsen is pretty creepy at some points. Now there is a book that I do want to read, which I’ve heard is mega creepy… and that is Anna Dressed In Blood. Its sitting on my bookshelf right now waiting to be read. I should read it now! lol
Thanks for the awesome giveaway. I REMEMBER reading The Riddle at Raven Hollow when I was a kid and being totally creeped out by the mystery
anna dressed in blood was the creepiest book i ever read!! not a good idea to read it at night
A danish book called “the witchs daughter”. There were some serious creepy scenes with limps crawling over the floor. Shadows that followed the main person on the graveyeard, and an old witch only trying to kill the girl.
It was a book that really creeped me out
The Shining scared me
The Exorcist.
It by Stephen King! I’ve never been able to stand clowns since.

The Shining by Stephen King – Wow!

(edited to remove your email so it doesn’t show up publicly but we have it)
It is a toss up between salem’s lot and the shining- both by stephen king.
I haven’t read a horror book in a long time and the most recent book to creep me out was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The things that happened in that book made me shudder. I loved reading R.L Stine when I was younger so I’m sure I was creeped out by some of his books. Thank you.
Lets see the cheapest book I’ve ever read, well one of the cheapest would have to be Once in a Full Moon. That was proably like under $5. This is a hard cover book by the way.
I just finished reading Living With The Dead by Kelley Armstrong. The villain was disturbingly creepy.
cryers cross
Stephen King’s IT
Stephen King’s It.
The books that REALLY creep me out, are the psychological thrillers. For instance, The Silence of the Lambs was super creepy when I was in high school. Most recently, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn was creepy as all get out!

That was creepy. IT was very creepy – I don’t think anyone would argue that. lol.
Thanks for the list and the giveaway!
I usually don’t finish the *really* scary ones. Mimi Barbour’s ROLL THE DICE is psychologically intense, and so is Stephen King’s short “I Know What You Need.”
Dracula
It is definitely very creepy! I loved it!
Any Stephen King novel.
I don’t read many scary books because I’m a huge wuss.
But the scariest would probably be The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. It wasn’t exactly scary, but just freaky. o.o And I’ve heard the sequel is even more freaky!
Thanks for giveaway! ^__^
I’m not great with reading “creepy” books—I have a very vivid imagination and nightmares!
Lionel Shriver’s “we need to talk about Kevin” gave me chills for days after I’d finished it. I dot typically read a lot of horror, but this book disturbed me more than many horror stories probably could. Maybe just because it was realistic and could have happened next door, but it took me some serious happy-times to shake that one off.
IT.
i think Ten by Gretchen McNeil was supercreepy!
The Shining!
I used to read a ton of true crime books, I especially loved books by Ann Rule. Though my tastes have changes dramatically now I love reading YA.
