This weeks question:

Q.It’s Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. so we want to know what you are Thankful for – blogging related of course! Who has helped you out along the way? What books are you thankful for reading?

Wow, this post could go on forever! I’m thankful for so many people in the blogosphere, for so many friends, books, it goes on and on!

Let’s go with people first: I’m thankful for my Skype Sisters! We all connected during this years Book Bloggers & Publishers Online Conference (BBPCON) and decided to keep in touch through Skype after. After awhile our “group” honed down to a few regulars (8 of us including me) and we’ve talked pretty much every day on Skype ever since! It’s been amazing to have so many opinions – and we don’t always agree – but we each have different blogs and it’s been so much fun to see each other grow, since so many of us started blogging around the same time. I can’t imagine NOT talking to them anymore, it’d be so weird! AS a group we also have our besties (only natural for some to gravitate more towards each other than others) so I have to give a special shout out to my partner in crime and also my “co-blogger” who watches my site like a hawk, even more than I do sometimes: Bex @ Kindle Fever and I also can’t forget Jenn from The Bawdy Book Blog who was there even before I met the others and who REALLY forced me to make my dream a reality when she took my idea to create a book blog and did it herself before I did and then MADE sure I followed through to make mine! I don’t know if my blog would be where it is without either of these two fabulous people. Not even to mention the friendship we have, which is an amazing blessing.

As for books, I really think I will have to leave that for separate post, I have so many and this is a HOP after all πŸ˜€

I do have one important matter to discuss – a lot of you probably already know that GFC is no longer a viable way to follow people since it’s being shut down for non-blogger blogs (like this one) – so please , even if you’ve followed through GFC take the time to subscribe either through the “Follow via Google Reader” button or through the “Follow through RSS” button – or the many other various ways, including Email subscription, or Networkedblog! I’m sorry for the inconvenience but really appreciate you taking the time do this.

Happy Friday People!

    • Yes, this GFC drama is SO not cool! Especially right before the holidays when everyone is busy, who needs one more thing to worry about? But hopefully it’ll go alright. Thanks so much for refollowing! And definitely could blog all year about books we’re thankful for! LOL It would be a blog all by itself! πŸ˜€

Hi. Just stopping by for the Friday Follow. I am thankful for public libraries that have allowed me to nurture my life-long love of books. There is a list of books on my sidebar that I love, but there are many, many more I was not able to list. I am thankful for each and every one of them

I am a new follower here.
    My blog is
I followed you on Twitter, too.
I liked your Facebook Page, too.

    • Thanks so much for stopping by – I’m thankful for libraries too, especially the e-library which is what I use the most (my libraries got a very nice selection of ebooks to download). Thanks for following me too, I’ve Liked your facebook page as well πŸ™‚

  10. I’ll definitely send you a link when it gets posted, Soul Unsung is planning the event for December, I think my post is going up the first or second week of December? I’ll let you know though for sure! πŸ™‚

  11. No problem, I’m definitely going through all my blogs and re-following them, so that if Google decides to take GFC away completely for blogger blogs, I can have already re-followed them and won’t have to worry. Thanks so much for the blog compliments! Rachel definitely does good work! I really love the look of your blog too very whimsical, I especially love your social icon buttons- so cute! πŸ™‚

  12. Yeah, it definitely bites about GFC, I’m pretty sure that eventually they will also cut it for blogger blogs, we’re just getting the axe sooner. Thanks so much for stopping by πŸ™‚

  13. Thanks so much for following, yes it’s a bummer we have to set something else up because of GFC but we’ll prevail πŸ˜€ Thanks for stopping by πŸ˜€

  14. I thought I left a comment here, but I guess I didn’t. I named you, too LOL!
